How do you handle a setup that looks good but lacks confirmation?

Sometimes I find a setup that looks pretty clean based on the overall trend and key levels, but the confirmation isn’t really there yet. I usually end up waiting, only to see the move happen without me.

How do you guys handle these situations? Do you prefer to wait for confirmation even if it means missing some trades, or is there a way to judge when it’s worth taking the entry early? Would also like to know how you decide when a setup is no longer valid.

What works for me is i take a smaller size entry when I see partial signals (level holding, low volume on pullback), then add once the actual confirmation trigger shows up. Keeps me in the trade without going full size on hope. For invalidation, I set a hard level beforehand, structure break or opposite side of the range. Closes through that, setup's dead, no second-guessing. Matters even more in FnO since theta's eating you alive while you're sitting around waiting for confirmation lol
