Groww is one of India's largest investment platforms, offering stocks, mutual funds, futures and options, IPOs, ETFs, digital gold, and fixed deposits from a single app. Founded in 2016 by ex-Flipkart employees Lalit Keshre, Harsh Jain, Neeraj Singh, and Ishan Bansal, it started as a direct mutual fund platform before expanding into full-service stock broking. Its simple, mobile-first interface and zero-commission direct mutual fund model helped it acquire a large base of first-time retail investors, and it has since grown to become one of the largest brokers in India by active client count.
